Jose Nisa (1998) is an artist committed to contemporary music and creation.
An active performer in contemporary music series and creative academies across Europe, Jose has collaborated with ensembles such as the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra & Container Ensemble [BJZ]. He is co-founder and saxophonist of the PlayTime Ensemble and the Amapola Quartet, both of which focus on mixed and multidisciplinary projects. He also works regularly with composers of his time such as Gonzalo Navarro.
In 2020, he was selected to perform at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival (Germany) and became part of the famous young international orchestra. In 2023 he joined the renowned Lucerne Festival Academy.
In June 2023, he finished his Master's degree in contemporary performance at the Haute école de musique in Geneva with professor Joshua Hyde and is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in pedagogy in the same institution.
