Phumiphat started learning Trombone from the first year of secondary school at Saipanya Rangsit School with Charan Ruangthong. The following year, he began to learn trumpet with Squadron Leader Singthongkam and Air Force Sergeant Vichet Kerdyod.
After graduating from the third year of high school, Phumiphat went on to study Trumpet at the Royal Thai Air Force Music School under the tutelage Colonel Sergeant Apisak Umnom and Flight Lieutenant Kasakorn Buakaew. While studying at the Royal Thai Air Force School of Music, Phumiphat participated in many activities and music contests such as the Thailand Trumpet Competition 2012 which was organized by Silpakorn University and received the Honorable Mention. He also participated in the International Wind Orchestra Contest of Thailand for the year 2010 and won the first prize. Subsequently Phumiphat also successfully auditioned to be a member of the Thai Youth Orchestra.
While studying in the third year, Phumiphat began to seriously study music with Lieutenant Colonel Pirun Chewong and after graduating from the Royal Thai Air Force School of Music, he passed the audition to attain a scholarship to study at Rangsit University, college of music. He started studying advanced trumpet and music conducting with Vanich Potavanich. Phumiphat had the opportunity to learn from many world-class artists such as Allen Vizzutti, an American trumpet player, Jan Van der Roost, Belgian composer and British music director Douglas Bostock
Phumiphat is currently the music director of the RTAF Wind Symphony band and has participated in many music competitions such as Rangsit Music Competition 2015 and 2016, receiving the first runner-up for 2 consecutive years. The student marching band contest for the Royal Trophy No. 35 of the year 2016 received the first prize and also in the Thailand Jazz Competition 2015 which they received the first prize in the Jazz Big Band category.
In his 4th year of studies, Phumiphat was awarded a scholarship to study his master's degree in Orchestral Conducting at the College of Music, Rangsit University.
